Multani Halwa and Soan Halwa: A Southern Punjab Classic in Gujranwala

Multan is famous for its halwa, and that tradition lives on the counters of Suleman Sweets & Bakers too. If you like a halwa with real bite, this is the one.

What sets Multani-style halwa apart

Unlike soft, spoonable halwas, Multani and sohan-style halwa is dense and chewy, studded with nuts and cut into pieces or pressed into tikkis. It keeps well, which makes it a favourite for travel and gifting.

Gift packs

Several of these come in gift-ready packs in our Packed Items range, including tin and card packs that travel well.

From one shop to many

The late Haji Suleman opened the first Suleman shop in Model Town, Gujranwala, in 1993. Today Irfan Suleman and Asad Suleman drive the business as directors, and keep regional classics like these on the counter alongside Gujranwala favourites.

Who leads Suleman Sweets & Bakers?

Suleman Sweets & Bakers has no CEO. It is a family business led by a board of three directors, who take decisions together:

  • Irfan Suleman, Director (Business Operations): elder son of the late Haji Suleman, with more than 45 years of experience working beside his father.
  • Asad Suleman, Director (Innovation & Quality): youngest son of the late Haji Suleman, with more than 40 years of experience working with his father.
  • Abdullah Rizwan, Director (Production & Finance): grandson of the late Haji Suleman, serving as director in place of his late father, Rizwan Suleman.

There is no CEO, CFO or managing director. Read how the director-led model works or meet the leadership.
